Update on Quaker Sale at Albertsons

I went into the Twin Falls Albertsons last night and they were out of A LOT of Quaker stuff!! Granola bars...gone. Dips....gone. Good flavors of instant oatmeal....gone. There were still lots of boxes of cereal, I didn't look really close so I don't know if they are out of certain kinds or not. And they still had some Oats.

The good news: They are writing rain checks!! You just have to get an amount in lots of 5's.
Also, they should be getting in a truck Monday night so hopefully they will have some of it restocked my mid-morning Tuesday.

More good news: If you didn't have time to order coupons on ebay, you still can. If you get a rain check you have 30 days to use it, which gives you plenty of time to get your coupons! ;)

If you don't want to wait for a rain check, you can always take your ad to Walmart and have them price match Albertsons price. (That is if Walmart isn't wiped out too!)

Bad news: They informed me that they are no longer taking the Fred Meyer Quaker coupon. Now, I never saw this coupon because the people in my town cleaned out my Fred Meyer store of all coupon books (shame!) but they also mentioned something about an "orange coupon" although I'm not too sure which one that would be.

OK, here it is, the big Quaker sale at Albertsons!! This is a good one!!

Now, if you are planning on buying a ton of stuff, be kind and place an order with the grocery manager. Don't clear the shelves. This is going to be a popular sale so be courteous and shop early. If you dare wait till Sunday, there is a rumor of doublers coming in the Sunday ad. I'm not sure if I want to test my luck and wait till Sunday or not. I did already place my order for the Dips granola bars though. At the Twin Falls store, the grocery manager said that they have plenty of regular granola bars but only enough Dips to fill the shelves so if you're looking for a large quantity of Dips...place your order!

My Albertsons Doublers Trip 1/19/10

Using my coupons and doublers, I got everything pictured (both pictures) for $15.24 and I saved $139.33!!! (or about 90%)

My Smiths Deals 1/19/10

Good news and bad news.......

Good news! Smiths in Twin Falls accepts Albertsons doubler (twice the value) coupons!!!!!

Bad news! They limit it to 3 doublers per person per day. Here's where I get on my soap box. I learned last week that Smiths was accepting Albertsons doublers because the store manager told my sister that someone came in with 100 $1 shampoo coupons and 100 doublers. WOW! Then, this week 2 people came in with 80 doublers. Now here's the deal, people.....DON'T ABUSE THE SYSTEM!!! Come on now. Who the heck would think that using 80-100 double coupons in one transaction wouldn't send a red flag to the store. Smiths is doing a GREAT thing in my book by accepting competitor coupons! They are the only store I know of around here that does it. And I was really happy to learn they accepted doublers!! But then I heard about these transactions and I said "they are gunna ruin it for everyone." I hate it when I'm right. The fact that they still accept doublers at all is good, don't get me wrong. I am very grateful for that!! I just get irritated when people abuse it. Smiths has been AWESOME to work with when it comes to coupons and I hope that they don't change their policy any more than they have. Lets just be realistic when we shop, shall we? The competitor coupons come right off the bottom line for the store, they don't get reimbursed for them at all. The fact that they accept them is a service to us, the customer. So lets be courteous, and not greedy, OK?

Campbells Gravy $.25 at Albertsons

The Twin Falls Albertsons has their Campbell's Turkey gravy cans on managers special for 4 for $1. These are on an end cap across from the meat department. I'm not sure if this is just at the Twin Falls store or at all stores. Sometimes if they end up with an over-stock of an item they will mark it down to move it. I think this is the case with this, still...great price!!!!

This Week's Coupon Inserts

This week there were 5 coupon inserts in the Boise papers (2 RP, 2 SS and 1 GM insert), and 4 inserts in the Times News. For some reason whenever there is a GM insert, The Times News never gets it.

There was also an Albertsons insert with 3 doublers in today's paper!!! (also not in the Times News). These are good until Tuesday, Jan 5th. You can always get an ad with doublers at the customer service desk if you didn't get them in your paper.
