TF Albertsons New Special Order Policy

I was at the Twin Falls Alberstons store tonight and they informed me of their new "special order" policy at their store. Last week was a great sale, and there were lots of special orders. Apparently they had some difficulty storing people's orders in the back room due to lack of space and so they began selling the special orders to first-come customers regardless of who's order it was. This defeats the purpose of a special order and I was afraid it would lead to problems in the future. Apparently, and obviously, there were some upset customers. Then on the other hand, there were customers like myself that had placed an order that week and the week before and the store never placed nor pulled my order. HMMMM......

......so their answer to this problem? They will no longer pull or hold a special order for anyone. (lovely solution, huh?) They are willing to increase their quantity ordered of an item if you would like to order a large quantity but it will put on the shelf and sold first-come, first-serve. Not really a special order in my book. From the looks of things on the Boise blogs, this is not the way that they do things at other stores.

So, what do you think of this new policy??? How can you order coupons to buy a large quantity when you aren't even ensured that you will get the product? I'd really like to know how everyone feels because if there are a lot of us that are opposed to the new "policy" maybe we can voice our opinions and get it changed to something that will work better for the customer and the store. Please, let me know what you think!!!
